January sister happenings

January is typically not a month where a lot is going on, but Jadeyn, Brynlee and me have had some fun over the last 4 weeks. And Jadeyn got her first haircut when B was a week old.

LOVE!

Our friend Sara came over one afternoon to do some newborn and sister pictures of the girls. She did a wonderful job! Now I just have to decide which ones to print and hang on our wall. They are all so good! Any suggestions? If you are ever looking for a photographer, please check out Sara E Photography! You can see her blog under my 'friends' list. I can't say enough great things about her. She is so incredibly talented, loves what she does and loves Jesus. We love you Sara!!!

I have to comment on this one. Poor Sara did such a good job trying to get Jadeyn to be agreeable, but Jadeyn just didn't want to be a part of it this day. She had about a week span of honery-ness while getting used to Brynlee. This was one of those days. We kept asking her to put her arm around Brynlee and she wasn't about to help out. She was singing "If you're happy and you know it"...and while she did the motions for "And your face will surely show it", Brynlee just toppled on over. Sara got a great capture of the memory  : )

All about Brynlee!

Brynlee was born 1/11/11 and yes, we planned it that way! We thought it was too cool of a birthday to not do. Since I've been updating the last year, and Brynlee wasn't around...the last few posts have been all about Jadeyn, so this one is dedicating to our newest little Quinn. The last month has been hard with two, but I wouldn't change it for anything. Brynlee is a doll and it's been so fun watching Jadeyn learn to be a big sister. Hope you enjoy these pictures of our family!

Brynlee Kate was born at 8:00 am on 1/11. She weighed 6 lb. 15oz and was 20 1/2 in long.

We got J a "hokey pokey Elmo" as a big sister gift.

Jadeyn likes to hold Brynlee but only for a few seconds. She does love to help feed her, change her, play with her...

Heading home!

Our car no longer has room for, well anything

Brynlee had a little bit of jaundice, so our doctor told us to put her in the sunlight the first weekend we were home. I went and checked on her and found her with her leg propped up. She has sat like this quite often! *And, when we went back to the doctor, she had no more jaundice, so apparently this technique works well!

Eating her "big sister cookie" that some college girls got her. Thanks Abby and Michelle!

Chuck loves babies!

Bop-Bop and Brynlee love

Bryn's crazy hair after a bath. I think she looks like one of those newborn chickens with their fuzzy hair.

Jadeyn and Brynlee both were/are big stretchers when waking up. We thought it was hilarious when Jadeyn did it as a newborn and now Brynlee does it too! It must be a Quinn thing. However, Brynlee even stretches her TOES!
*This only lasts for 3-4 months, so I am savoring every last stretch of this sweet little girl*
